Optoma and Schindler collaborated together to install the Optoma LED display.
“We have two different buildings in Berlin and we are connecting them to make our new headquarters. Everyone that works here and all guests will enter this foyer and the first thing they will see will be the large piece of display technology we choose to go in this space.”
Pau-y Chow, Senior Product Manager in the Digital Innovations division at Schindler
“The LED display in the main Foyer is going to be used to present new products to customers when they enter. The building is still undergoing huge development works so there were a lot of contractors in so we had to work very closely with those electricians, builders and painters. When we arrived, it was key that communication with everyone involved was perfect to ensure we had enough time and space to finish the project.”
Ross Noonan, Technical Product Specialist at Optoma
“The LED display was up and running in three days. Then there is normally a day for calibration. From the beginning of the installation through to finishing, it took a total of four days.”
Ross Noonan, Technical Product Specialist at Optoma
“The installation process was a very exciting one for us because it was the first time we saw an LED display of this size being built. We came every now and then to see how the installation was going. Every time we came, we saw an amazing LED display being built.”
Pau-y Chow, Senior Product Manager in the Digital Innovations division at Schindler
“We have installed a FHD26528 Optoma LED display. This is a 2.6mm, 1080p display. We always try to supply first class technical support so I’ve been working on this project from the beginning up until the final launch event. We have also been on site doing the commissioning, working closely with the Schindler integrators. It’s something Optoma really prides itself on. It doesn’t matter which region we’re working in; we always work as close as we can with our end users and customers. With Schindler, we have a very good existing relationship because they also use our projectors in their DoorShow solution – this LED display is just another step-in taking Schindler into the twenty-first century.”
Ross Noonan, Technical Product Specialist at Optoma
“We chose Optoma because Optoma has the best products but we didn’t only choose Optoma for the products, we chose them because of their service and partnership with us. The building is 80% ready, just because we have the LED up and running. I saw it today and I thought ‘WOW’, I’m really excited to show our new re-designed headquarters to our guests and customers.”

Optoma’s ‘WOW’ factor LED display takes centre stage at Schindler HQ in Berlin

Challenge:

Schindler was undergoing a huge construction development at its new headquarters in Berlin. As part of the major development, the large foyer area required a stand-out piece of display technology that would produce bold and vibrant imagery to attract the attention of all guests and customers entering the building.

Solution:

The Optoma FHD26528 was selected as the best solution as the large display boasts a 2.6mm pixel pitch and a Full HD 1080p resolution.

Results:

The final result was simply amazing. Measuring a jaw dropping 5m wide and 2.8m high, the FHD26528 display produced the ‘wow’ factor and now takes centre stage in the new foyer.

The Challenge
