Solution:
MARS Center chose to install Optoma's DuraCore laser ZU510T and the Optoma ProScene ZU650 and EH505 projectors for their high brightness, installation flexibility and fail-safe robust chassis.

The bright blended visual displays of the Optoma projectors were instrumental in ‘lifting’ the crowds to a modern age Utopia where the audience escape from reality and the stresses of everyday life through this multi-sensory extravaganza.
Utopian moments projected at “Burning Man Moscow Decompression” event

The Challenge

The “Burning Man” is infamous for its annual festival gathering; where an entire community explore various forms of artistic self-expression, transcending gender, creed so everybody connects at the same place spiritually, escaping from the outside world around them.

A ‘Decompression party’ or “Decomp” is a local reunion for Burning Man participants to help ease themselves back into everyday society after the "big event".

Burning Man Moscow partnered with Center MARS to deliver a large-scale audio-visual installation encompassing floor projected multimedia displays, synchronised multi-channel video and music spun by DJ’s from an enormous stage providing a multi-sensory experience.

In a separate space, MARS arranged its own rave compilation in an operating car wash. Drawing inspiration from surreal DIY installations that are built in the desert by Burning Man participants, MARS converted the carwash into an abstract object of living art. Within this unusual location, vivid video imagery was needed to work succinctly, projecting a synchronised show.

Created by Daniel Sukhovsky, the immersive AV blend unfolds into a time continuum where the car wash becomes part of the show, designed to completely cleanse the minds of the Decompression visitors - at least for one night.

The Solution

MARS Center chose to install the Optoma ProScene ZU650, ZU510T and EH505 projectors for their high brightness, installation flexibility and fail-safe chassis.  Reliability was key in the decision process as the type of installation meant there was room for error.

The Results

The bright blended visual displays of the Optoma ProScene projectors were instrumental in ‘lifting’ the crowds to a modern age Utopia where the audience escape from reality and the stresses of everyday life through this multi-sensory extravaganza.
